Can you believe we're in the last six weeks of the school year? This is such an exciting time as we approach the end of a fantastic year. We're already busy planning for next year, including staffing and new initiatives!
Summer Programs & Farmers Market Vouchers
You'll soon be receiving information from Cole Harbour Place about their upcoming summer events and camps, which offer some great opportunities for your children.
We're also thrilled to share that the Nova Scotia Government is providing $10 vouchers for farmers' markets! Each student will be bringing one home soon. More information on this program is attached to this email.
PJ Day!
Our persuasive students have done it again! They've convinced us to have a PJ Day on Wednesday, May 28th. Both staff and students are encouraged to wear their comfy pajamas.
Hot Lunch Program & Snacks
We've noticed recently that some students aren't finding the portion sizes from our hot lunch program sufficient, or they're not keen on the meal itself. This has led to a number of students coming to the office for extra food.
We kindly ask that you check in with your child about their hot lunches and consider packing extra snacks to ensure they have enough food throughout the day. While we will always help any student who needs an extra snack, we're seeing this become a regular habit for many, and we want to ensure all students are well-fed and focused in class.
Field Trips & Chaperones
Get ready for some exciting learning adventures! Many field trips are being planned across all grade levels, so please keep an eye out for permission forms coming home.
If you're interested in being a chaperone for a field trip, please give us a call at 902-464-5192. Please remember that chaperones need a criminal record check and a child abuse registry check on file with the school.

- June 30th: Last day of school (finishes at 10:30 am)
