Family Forecast March 21-25

Hello JGES Families,

We hope everyone had a nice March Break. We're excited to have students back this week.

STAYING WITH MASKS

An important change to Covid restrictions was announced by Premier Houston and Dr. Strang last week. Masking will continue for all students, staff, and visitors to public schools for a few more weeks.  However, we are welcoming families back into the school.

Going forward, ring the bell, and come to the main office if you need anything.  It is a small step but a welcome one.

Please watch for symptoms, test regularly, and students should stay home if they are unwell.  The most up-to-date information can be found at https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/

NO SCHOOL ON WEDNESDAY

A reminder, there is no school for students this Wednesday, March 23rd as it is an Assessment Day.

Purple Day:

Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26th annually, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple  in support of epilepsy awareness.  Students and staff are encouraged to wear purple on Friday March 25.

Upcoming Parent-Teacher Meetings:

We are planning our upcoming P-T meetings on April 7th . We are looking at feedback on family preferences for in person meetings, or virtual meetings.  Please fill out this short survey.  https://forms.gle/sQcTSpzNaPW3Kyiy9
