JGES June update June 9-13

Dear JGES Families,

We have an exciting week ahead at Joseph Giles Elementary!

Field Day –Wednesday, June 11

Field Day is happening Wednesday morning, June 11! Students will enjoy a variety of outdoor games—some involving water! Please help your child come prepared with:

  • A dry change of clothes
  • A hat
  • Sunscreen
  • A full water bottle

These items will help ensure students stay safe, hydrated, and ready to fully participate in the fun.

Upcoming Field Trips

  • Thursday, June 19: Grade 3–5/6 will head to the Discovery Centre.

Grade 6 Closing Ceremony

Please join us as we celebrate our Grade 6 students!

  • Tuesday, June 24 at 10:30 AM in the school gym.

PTO End-of-Year BBQ Celebration

Our amazing PTO is hosting a fun BBQ for all JGES families!

  • Date: Wednesday, June 25
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Details: Hotdogs, drinks, and a bouncy castle!
We hope to see you there as we celebrate a fantastic year together.

Afterschool Bathroom Access

As more families enjoy the playground after school, we understand the need for bathroom access. Please note:

  • The EXCEL program staff cannot provide washroom access.
