Family Forecast Dec 5-9

Hello Families,
I hope everyone is doing well after a big week of parent-teacher meetings, report cards, and a short week of school.

Report cards are one way for teachers to share students learning.  The parent-teacher meetings are another great way.  If you want to get further information, or didn’t get a chance to meet with teachers please reach out to set up a time.

The weather is playing tricks on us: it looks like a warmer wet week.  Kids won’t be wearing cold weather clothes.  Watch out for a sudden temperature drop.  The next day is hard on them without warm clothes.

We are preparing for our Holiday concert on December 13th.  Tickets will go home this week.  2 tickets per family.  The tickets will go home with the youngest student (P-6).  If you want to request an additional ticket (s) please email jges@hrce.ca .  If you aren’t attending the concert, please return unused tickets or notify us  at jges@hrce.ca .  We won’t send home tickets to the family.

A reminder it is important to be on time for school.  Students can arrive 8:05-8:25.  Learning starts at 8:30.  Being late 10 mins every day is almost an hour of lost time per week.  It can be disruptive to the classes, and hard on students.

We are planning to highlight many celebrations this month including Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas.  This will happen in classrooms, and on our morning announcements.
Have a great week,
Mr. Fry
