Hello Joseph Giles families,

Teachers have returned to school and students are coming back on Tuesday.  You may know that the parent portal is open for powerschool where you can find out information on your child’s homeroom.  Instructions are attached.  However, some people are having trouble.  To help, we emailed families on Thursday to notify them of their homeroom assignment.

Please keep in mind that students are still enrolling in school and this can impact homerooms.  It is possible that your child’s homeroom teacher may change in the coming weeks. 

How will the first day look?

On the first day of school, Pre-primary students and parents will go to the gym and meet their teachers.  They will go to the classroom after that . 

Our Primary students and their parents can go to the library after 8:20, meet the teacher, and then we will head to the classroom.

All  other students will meet their teachers near their entrance/exit door to the school. See the map below. They will enter the school when they are ready. 

If it is raining:

Pre-primary and Primary students will still go to Gym and Library.  All other students will proceed directly to the classrooms and meet their teacher. 

A few other reminders:
Remember that students in PP-6 will be wearing masks.
Students can arrive at 8:10 am to start the day.  Remember to call safe arrival at 464-5196 if your student will be absent. 
Students should bring their supplies on Monday.  We can hold onto extra supplies.  There will be no expectation of bringing them back and forth
Please label supplies, and clothing.
If you have any library books ,please send them in.
Please send in water bottles.
We will be outside for Physical Education- it will be outside as much as possible.
